Q.

When I enter my UserName and Password, the system keeps telling me that this is the incorrect login information.
A. This occurs for one of three reasons:
  1. You are in fact entering the wrong username and/or password. This often happens when students change their login information within the 'Profile' section of the course and forget. Sometimes this happens when the numeral one is confused with a lowercase L (1 vs l) or O's with zeros (O vs 0) in the e-mail containing login information. If you think this could be the case, try to copy and paste the information from the eMail directly into the login fields. If you are unsure of your login information, return to the login page and click the 'Forgot Password' link.
  2. You are letting windows ‘auto-fill' your password and windows is remembering a wrong password. To fix this, simply delete whatever windows auto-fills are displayed and type your password in manually. If the passwords don't match up, windows will tell you with a pop up. Be sure to tell windows to remember the NEW password you just input after it is accepted.
  3. You need to clear your cache. To do this, go to your ‘Tools' menu in Internet Explorer and select ‘Internet Options'. Next, click the button that says ‘Delete Files' (if another window pops up, simply hit ‘Okay'). Once your hourglass goes away (this can take up to about two minutes) click ‘Okay' then close Internet Explorer. Re-open Internet Explorer, go to Epro's homepage and hit ‘Log In' to try again.

Q.

I don't see any buttons on the left side of the screen (like Log In, Begin Course etc.)
A. You are likely accessing the course via a shortcut on your desktop. Desktop shortcuts that go directly to Epro's homepage often save only the inner frame of the page, they don't allow you to see the navigation buttons (which is very important). Delete your desktop ‘Favorite' and simply access the course via a ‘Favorite' within Internet Explorer that goes directly to Epro's homepage.

Q.

When I try to continue my course, I keep getting logged out.
A.

Q.

Why do some items in my course map appear in red?
A. In your course map, any page you have NOT yet read will appear as red text. Any items you have read will turn into a blue, clickable, link. If an item you have gone past is displayed in red, this means that this is either an entirely new page, or a page that was heavily updated. To access these pages, just click on the page right before, or after the unread page, then click the Next or Previous buttons (respectively) to get to the unread page. From that point forward, the page will now appear as a clickable blue link, indicating that you have already read the page. You will now be able to click the page in the course map, allowing you to review it at any time.

Q.

What is a Wiki and how do I use it?
A. A ‘Wiki' is typically a page or a document that is shared by everyone with access to it. All people with access have the ability to add and make edits, helping with the accuracy of the document.

For the purposes of this course, a wiki entry is a note that you can submit for addition to the course material. If you are reading a page in the course, and know of a link or tip that may be helpful to others, you can click the blue wiki icon at the bottom of the page. A blue box will appear on the screen and you are welcome to submit any information you like. These entries will be moderated by our staff, and if approved, will appear on that particular page in the course for others to read (giving you full credit for the submission).

Q.

What are Notes, and how do I use them?
A. Notes are personal notes to yourself about the course. If you click on the yellow “sticky note” icon at the top or bottom of any page within the course, you will be able to enter in notes which will be attached to that page in the course. Your Course Map will display a note icon next to any page where you have placed a note. The notes are printable if you use the print feature for your starred pages.

To delete your notes, you will need to visit the page they are attached to. You can find pages which include notes on your Course Map. Once you are viewing the proper page in the course, click the Notes icon, delete all the text in the provided field, and click Save. You will notice that the icon has changed from displaying several sheets of paper (indicating that there are notes saved on this page) to a single sticky note icon. This page no longer has notes attached.

Q.

How do I print this course?
A. You have several options for printing this course. You may print page-by-page, all pages you've visited, or even just your starred items.

To print page-by page, you will simply click print on each page that you visit by going to your File menu and choosing Print. To print all of the pages you've visited at once, go to your Course Map and click the Print all Visited pages link and from the next window, click the Print button. To print all of your starred items, click the Starred button on your left hand navigation menu. From the Starred menu, click the View and Print all starred pages link and from the next window, click the Print button.

If you are having trouble, the first thing you should try is to highlight, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the on-screen text into any word processor (notepad, MSWord etc). Once your document is complete, try printing from the word processing program.

Another option is to try printing the course from another browser. You have several options for another browser:

If you are running Internet Explorer 7 or older, you may consider running your Windows updates. Installing the Windows updates will upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 8. Some people have been advised by their IDX and MLS solutions to not do this because not all websites have updated their software to be compatible with Internet Explorer 8 yet.

Another few options for new browsers (in order of popularity) are Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari. Note that we will not be able to walk you through the installation process with these browsers.
